The North Pier
These days, the pier has been imaginatively upgraded and is amongst the resort's finest attractions. Also known for its theatre and top-class seasonal show, its amusements, shops, restaurants and bars and North Pier is also the resort's favourite sunbathing spot.
The South Pier
A shorter and wider pier, this was the last of the three to be built and opened in 1893 and was originally known as Victoria Pier . There's no theatre on this pier any more, just rides, rides, rides as befits the South Shore theme. They're great old favourite rides as well, with a real funfair atmosphere, including dodgems, a Crazy Mouse and a Waltzer.
Blackpool Zoo
Just two miles from the famous sea-front, the multi-AWARD WINNING Blackpool Zoo provides a home to over 1,500 animals from all over the world. The Zoo provides new standards of animal care and aims to provide a stimulating, informative and enjoyable experience that demonstrates its role in the conservation of endangered species.
