Also known for its theatre and top-class seasonal show, its amusements, shops, restaurants and bars and North Pier is also the resort's favourite sunbathing spot. The South Pier A shorter and wider pier, this was the last of the three to be built and opened in 1893 and was originally known as Victoria Pier . There's no theatre on this pier any more, just rides, rides, rides as befits the South Shore theme. They're great old favourite rides as well, with a real funfair atmosphere, including dodgems, a Crazy Mouse and a Waltzer.
